Sayona is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who strives to create a warm, collaborative and supportive enviromment where clients can explore their therapeutic needs and goals. She takes an integrated, client-centred approach – whether that involves reducing symptoms or behaviours, exploring patterns, or simply making sense of experiences when the way forward feels unclear.  Sayona welcomes clients at any stage of their therapeutic journey, including those who may be unsure of what they need but are open to exploring it together.

In her work, Sayona draws from a range of evidence-based frameworks including cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema therapy, and trauma-informed practices.  She is also interested in the relational dynamics that emerge within the therapy space, and how these can support healing and growth.

Sayona enjoys working with people across the lifespan, including children and adolescents, and supports clients experiencing a range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance misuse, and stress.  She has experience providing both individual and group interventions with complex forensic clients, as well as working with children and families involved in the child protection and Out-of-Home Care system.

Sayona holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a registered Medicare provider.
